Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has termed Wednesday's landslide victory of the National Democratic Alliance in the Bihar assembly polls as "mysterious" and also said that his party will review its defeat.

"This result is mysterious and looks like magic," was Lalu's first reaction after the RJD and its ally the Lok Janshakti Party were routed in the elections.

Lalu said he will look into the mysterious results and at the same time review the defeat of the RJD-LJP combine. "Jadui result ka pata karenge, yeh chamatkar kaise hua," Lalu said in chaste Hindi.

The RJD chief congratulated Nitish Kumar on his win, but pointed out that he will not wish the Bharatiya Janata Party. "I will not congratulate the BJP for it is a communal party. There is no question of praising them," he said.

He also added that he accepted the people's mandate and will cooperate with Nitish Kumar in running the government.

"Now when people have reposed faith in Nitish Kumar, they will like to see that the promises made by him are completed in a time-bound manner," Lalu, however, took a dig at Nitish Kumar for targetting him during a press conference earlier and said that people had voted for development and "we too promised that" at the time of campaigning.
