Taking strong exception to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar describing RJD chief Lalu Prasad as "king of terror", the party on Wednesday said it would move the Election Commission seeking action against the JD-U leader for breaching model code of conduct in place for Bihar Assembly polls.

"Though the model code of conduct bars the leaders from making personal comments against rivals, Kumar has violated its provisions by making objectionable comments against Prasad and even taking his name," RJD spokespersons Ram Kripal Yadav and Shakeel Ahmed Khan told reporters.

The chief minister's diatribe against the RJD president has crossed the level of decency. We will write to EC demanding action against Kumar for breaching model code of conduct, they said.

The chief minister has come a cropper as a poet and a satirist given the content of his diatribe against Prasad, which reflected the prevailing anxiety and fear in his mind about an adverse outcome in the hustings, they said.

"He (Kumar) will never be able to become a taller leader than Prasad under whose shadow and tutelage he learnt the basics of politics," the RJD leaders said.

Earlier in the day at a press meet, Kumar had presented a parody of the song 'Jai Ho' to hit out at Prasad.
"Jai ho, jai ho, kayakalap ji jai ho, Railway ka chay ho, Bihar men bhay ho, maha atankraj maharaj kayakalp ji, jai ho (Hail, Mr Turnaround, let there be fear in Bihar, hail the king of terror)," Kumar had sung.

"The person who shattered the growth of Railways is now going to the people with false claim that it was he who made it achieve a turnaround," he had remarked, adding, "We salute Mr Turnaround (Kayakalp ji--Lalu Ji) for his claim."
