Condoleezza Rice will be in New Delhi on Tuesday on her first visit to India after assuming charge as the United States Secretary of State.
New Delhi is the first halt in Rice's eight-day trip to South Asia and East Asia covering India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Japan, Korea and China.
Rice will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and hold wide-ranging discussions with External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh on the entire gamut of bilateral ties.
She will also meet leader of opposition L K Advani.
The developments in Nepal, on which the US shares India's concern, the situation in Iraq, post-election scenario in Afghanistan, the West Asia crisis and UN reforms are expected to come up during the parleys.
On its part, the Indian side will also brief Rice on the progress in the peace process with Pakistan.
She will join with Indian leaders to work to "raise our transformed relationship to a higher plain as we move ahead in many areas of economic, security and regional cooperation," a US Embassy official said.
During the visit to South Asia, she will meet senior officials to discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues, the official said.
