"Retired Air Vice Marshal Manjit Singh Dhillon, 69, shot himself through the chin with a .12 bore gun at his Sector 35-C residence," Station House Officer Anokh Singh said.
He said Dhillon's wife lives with him while the couple's son stays abroad. Senior Superintendent of Police S S Srivastava said forensic experts were investigating the crime spot. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, police sources said.
