One person was killed and 11 injured on Monday when a housewife ran her car over them in Mumbai.
The woman, identified as Indrajiet Kaur, was driving a Huyndai Getz on the busy Tulsi Pipe road in Central Mumbai when she suddenly lost control and rammed into bystanders.
The injured were rushed to hospital.
Mumbai traffic police is already geared up for New Year celebrations to prevent any untoward incident.
