Minister of State Dasari Narayana Rao has been stripped of Mining portfolio, but would retain that of Coal.
An official communique on Tuesday said the President, acting on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's advice, has made Rao just the Minister of State for Coal.
Rao, as Minister of State, was earlier holding Mining ministry, besides Coal.
Shibu Soren is the Minister of Coal with Cabinet rank, while Sis Ram Ola is Mining Minister, also with Cabinet rank.
