No clean chit to Raj Thackeray: Dy CM

Reports about giving clean chit to Raj Thackeray are baseless, said Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil. He said the government analysing remarks by Raj Thackeray and Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi, he said.

R R Patil met with top police officials in Mumbai on Wednesday to discuss action against MNS chief Raj Thackeray for his provocative remarks against north Indians at a rally in the city on Saturday.

Director General of Police A N Roy, Mumbai Police Commissioner Hassan Gaffoor and Joint Commissioner of Police K L Prasad attended the meeting, sources said.
