Details of railway accidents can from now on be obtained from any part of the country by dialling telephone no 1072, a telecom official said.
Instead of dialling the numbers of respective railway stations information can be had from this single number, General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, G K Upadyaya said in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
This service, using the same number, will also be made available on MTNL phones, he said.
