The All India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Vadra attended the marriage of the son of Sonia Gandhi's trusted personal assistant Madhavan.
The siblings arrived in Nedumbassery airport in a chartered flight and attended the marriage function in Thrissur and later left for Delhi.
Madhavan's son, who is an employee of the MNC KPMG, was married to a local Kerala girl.
However, several senior Congress leaders were not invited for the function, which was a strict family affair.
A long time friend of Rahul and Priyanka, who is a former senior officer with the Indian Information Services and was with the duo at the wedding, told rediff.com that there were no leaders from Delhi.
A high-profile reception is arranged in Delhi that will be attended by the AICC president Sonia Gandhi and senior leaders from all political parties.
