Unidentified gunmen fired at the residence of former Khalistan Commando Force chief Wassan Singh Jaffarwal in a village in Gurdaspur district late on Sunday night, police said.
Zaffarwal escaped unhurt in the attack, they said.
Some 10 gunmen fired at the former KCF chief's residence in Zaffarwal village, police said.
Zaffarwal was at home when the attack took place.
