Demanding a thorough probe into the Shunglu Committee report, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday asked Home Minister P Chidambaram to direct the Central Bureau of Investigation to interrogate all those allegedly involved in the Commonwealth Games scam, including Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit.

Protesting in large numbers at Jantar Mantar, BJP workers led by Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta appealed to the home minister to allow the CBI to "seize all documents pertaining to forgery and siphoning of funds at the earliest" to avoid further tampering of evidence.

"The Delhi government has mismanaged public money worth Rs 25,000 crore during Commonwealth Games, and we want an answer from Dikshit on the allegations and charges put on her government in third report by the Shunglu Committee," senior BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi said.

BJP leaders also asked the CBI "not to adopt the policy of 'pick and choose' while investigating the matter".

They claimed that Dikshit has no right to trash the Shunglu Committee report, as the panel was formed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Besides other agencies, the Shunglu panel had blamed Dikshit-led government for alleged bunglings in various Games projects. The city government had rejected all the findings of the panel and instead accused it of deliberately choosing to adopt a logic of "convenience" in finding corruption in every policy and every tender of the government.
