The principal of a private school in Vijayawada was arrested on Tuesday for taking nude pictures of a standard seven girl student.
The police arrested the principal as he was watching the nude pictures on his computer.
The police said that on Saturday, principal V Srinivas called the girl to his office under the pertext of taking a passport size photograph at around 2 pm. He took her to his anteroom and asked her to remove her clothes. When she refused, he threatened to foist a theft case on her.
He made her to strip and took pictures on a digital camera. He transferred the pictures onto his computer.
The hapless girl revealed the incident to a classmate on Monday evening. Her classmate alerted her parents, who lodged a complaint at the Satyanarayanapuram police station on Tuesday morning.
The police have seized the computer and the camera.
