The resignation of Pratibha Patil as Rajasthan governor has been accepted by President A P J Abdul Kalam on Friday.
He has asked Haryana Governor A R Kidwai to discharge the functions of the Rajasthan governor in addition to his own duties, a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said.
Pratibha, who has been chosen as the United Progressive Alliance-Left nominee for the presidential poll, will file her nomination on Saturday.
