A Bengaluru court on Friday adjourned the hearing in the rape and murder case of a BPO employee in 2005 to September 27.
Adjourning the trial for further arguments, 11th Fast Track Court Judge B V Guddali expressed displeasure over the media reports, stating that the verdict would be delivered on Friday, even as the hearing was still on.
The accused, Shiva Kumar, was produced before the court. So far, 80 witnesses have been examined in the case, in which BPO employee Pratibha Srikanthamurthy was allegedly raped and murdered by a taxi driver in December 2005.
