Shiv Sena Member of Parliament Prakash Paranjpe died on Wednesday night following a prolonged illness. He was 61.
Paranjpe, who represented neighbouring Thane Lok Sabha constituency, had been battling with cancer for a long time.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, his family said.
Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has condoled his death.
