The Delhi police on Monday sought court's permission to conduct narco-analysis test on top Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy contending that he had not co-operated during questioning despite use of all scientific methods of interrogation.

In an application filed before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja, the police contended that narco-analysis test be conducted on him on the ground that despite using all scientific methods of interrogation, Ghandy did not co-operate with the investigating officers and did not disclose useful information.

The police told the CMM that he was a backbone of the banned outfit and had thorough knowledge and information regarding its activities that could lead to unravelling of its designs against the state.

The court after hearing the police contention reserved its order till tomorrow when it would also take issue orders on Ghandy's bail plea.

The court had on September 15 sent Ghandy to 14 days' judicial custody after the Delhi Police opposed his bail plea.
