Terrorists shot dead a police officer in the Wattal Kadal locality of downtown Srinagar on Friday morning.
Police said terrorists fired pistol rounds from close range at Sukhpal Singh, assistant sub-inspector of Bagya police station.
"Sukhpal Singh received two bullet injuries and was shift to the SMHS hospital in critical condition. He, however, succumbed to injuries," a senior police official told rediff.com
