Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met President A P J Abdul Kalam on Thursday, in the midst of political storm over the reported move to bring an ordinance on the issue of office of profit.
The meeting was held shortly after the Defence Investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan and an official press release said 'the prime minister apprised the President of the current developments'. It gave no other details.
