Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is indisposed with viral fever and has been advised rest for two days by his personal physician, PMO sources told rediff.com
All his appointments and public engagements for today and tomorrow have been cancelled, the sources said.
Dr Singh was to attend the birth centenary celebrations of Ramnath Goenka, founder of the Indian Express Group, in Delhi today. His speech, however, will be read out in the function.
He was also to go to Chennai in the evening.
Two days back, Sonia Gandhi was also down with fever and had cancelled few of her appointments. She too has been advised rest for a couple of days.
Her meetings related to Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh will be kept pending till she recovers.
