Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh summoned Governor of Andhra Pradesh ESL Narasimhan to New Delhi on Saturday to discuss the political situation in Andhra Pradesh, including the ongoing agitation on Telangana.

Narasimhan is also expected to call on Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister AK Antony. In all probability, Narasimhan also likely to meet UPA-II Chairperson Sonia Gandhi as well.

The Centre has reposed confidence in Narasimhan, as he is bringing a position paper on the ongoing agitation.
