PM Modi's new ministers take charge

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi carried out the first revamping of his ministry since he assumed power in May, the new ministers took charge of their portfolios on Monday.


D V Sadananda Gowda taking charge as the Union minister for law & justice. Union minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Ananthkumar is also seen.

Jayant Sinha taking charge as the minister of state for finance

Y S Chowdary taking charge as the minister of state for science and technology and earth sciences

Harsh Vardhan taking charge as the Union minister for science and technology and earth sciences

Bandaru Dattatreya taking charge as the minister of state (independent charge) for labour and employment

Vijay Sampla taking charge as the minister of state for social justice & empowerment

Krishan Pal taking charge as the minister of state for social justice & empowerment


Suresh Prabhu taking charge as the Union minister for Railways

Dr Jitendra Singh taking charge as the minister of state (independent charge) for development of north-eastern region.

New Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley being greeted by the MoS Environment, Forest and Climate Change (I/C) Prakash Javadekar. Also seen is Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the new MoS information and broadcasting.
