Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Monday led a delegation of party leaders to congratulate President-elect Pranab Mukherjee.
Pawar, with NCP leaders Praful Patel, Tariq Anwar, D P Tripathi and Sanjay Dina Patil in tow, drove down to Mukherjee's residence at 13, Talkatora Road here to greet him on this thumping victory in the Presidential election.
The NCP leaders were closeted with Mukherjee for about 15 minutes.
NCP had last week threatened to pull out of the government aggrieved over a variety of issues including no 2 slot for Pawar and Congress' treatment of its allies.
Minister of State for Planning Ashwani Kumar was also among the early visitors at Mukherjee's residence to greet him.
Congratulations have been pouring in from across the country for Mukherjee over his victory in Presidential poll.
Besides receiving greetings from a number of chief ministers, Mukherjee was also congratulated by Bangladesh President M Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
