Pakistani 'spy' held at Delhi airport

A Pakistan national has been arrested by security agencies from the Indira Gandhi

International airport here for spying on Indian defence secrets.

"One Pakistani spy was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International airport yesterday (Saturday)," said Union Home Secretary G K Pillai.

"The man had been under our investigation for some time. Details are being worked," Pillai added.

He said the foreign national was arrested for spying for the Pakistani government and was passing on defence secrets. Further investigations in the case are on, Pillai said.

Asked if the arrest had any connection with the on going investigations into the trails of terror suspect David Headley arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation or his co-accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Canadian of Pakistan origin, Pillai said it did not have any connection with the probe.

Official sources said security agencies have seized some documents and photographs from him.
