On October 1, Pakistani troops resorted to firing over Indian posts and Chachwal forward village along the International Border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir in which a couple was injured.
On September 20, Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire by opening indiscriminate firing on the Indian side in order to stall digging work to uncover the 550-meter-long tunnel from Pakistan into Indian territory along the border in Chachwal area of the Samba sector.
