Thirteen people died when a Pakistan army helicopter crashed in the country's northern mountains, the military said on Friday.
"An M-17 helicopter of the Pakistan Army Aviation met an accident last night near Astore district of the Northern Area," the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate said in a statement.
"Thirteen passengers on board embraced shahadat (martyrdom)," the statement said.
