"Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked and heavy firing on Indian forward posts along the LoC in Balnoie sub-sector of Poonch district around 8 am", defence spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said in Jammu.
There was no causality on the Indian side till reports last came in from the area. This was the tenth ceasefire violation along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir since October 1. There have been seven ceasefire violations along the LoC in Poonch and three along the IB in Jammu.

There have been over 100 ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the Line of Control in recent months.
