Senior Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday claimed there was 'concrete' proof of India's alleged involvement in fomenting unrest in Pakistan's Balochistan province and tribal areas.
Sharif, the brother of former premier and PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, claimed India is involved in disrupting peace in tribal regions like Balochistan and Waziristan.
"There is concrete information that India has a dirty role in destabilising Balochistan. India is also involved in Waziristan," he told a news conference in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
Sharif, who is also the chief minister of Punjab province, claimed that India is trying to defame Pakistan by saying it is interfering in India's internal affairs and supporting terrorism.
He said there is a need for mutual understanding between the two countries to ensure peace in the region. He also said that it is necessary for Pakistan to put its own house in order to foil international intrigue against the country's stability, integrity and sovereignty.
