Reacting to the Environment Ministry's decision to demolish the 31-storey Adarsh Housing Society in Mumbai, the society's counsel, Satish Maneshinde on Sunday said that the tenor of the order is completely malafide.
"The tenor of the order is completely malafide and the hearing unfair. The minister was bent upon demolishing Adarsh since the beginning. We will challenge the demolition," Maneshinde said.
Earlier, accusing the controversial Adarsh Society of violating the spirit of Coastal Regulation Zone laws, Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said the society ''should be demolished in entirety''.
