Obama to travel to India: White House

United States President Barack Obama will visit India in the near future, but not in the next three months, the White House has stated.

"I know the President at some point will travel to India," the White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, told reporters at his daily press briefing on Friday. "I do not have anything on the schedule for the next three months," Gibbs said in response to a question.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit the United States in November later this year on a state visit.
