After more than three months of confusion, the Ministry of NRI Affairs, headed by Jagdish Tytler, was renamed as the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, to which the NRI division in the external affairs ministry will be transferred.
The Rashtrapati Bhawan issued a notification in this regard, it was stated in New Delhi on Thursday.
In Hindi, the ministry will now be known as 'Pravasi Bhartiya Karya Mantralaya'.
