Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday embarked on his 'Seva Yatra' to tour all districts of the state to review the implementation of development schemes and the Right to Service Act.
Talking to reporters before taking off for West Champaran district, Kumar said he would visit Muzaffarpur, Sheikhpura, Arwal, Saharsa, Banka, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Purnia and Siwan districts under the first phase of the yatra.
"My priority will be to review all the development projects, welfare schemes, besides visiting offices, blocks, villages and holding Janata darbars during my stay ranging from two to four days in these districts," he said.
"I will engage in studying the development works and the steps taken for implementation of the Right to Service Act," Kumar said.
Several state ministers including N K Yadav, Narendra Singh, Vijendra Prasad Yadav and Renu Kumari were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Youth Congress alleged that Kumar's 'Seva Yatra' was to divert the people's attention from the 'wrong doings' of the state government.
"The yatra is one of comfort aimed at diverting the people's attention from the wrongdoings of the state government," YC state president Lalan Kumar told reporters.
He also accused Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad of 'ruining' the state during their successive rules spanning 21 years.Bihar: 3 killed in firing outside RJD MP's house
