New Somalian Prez is alumnus of Bhopal university

The newly elected President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has an Indian connection as the Barkatullah University in Bhopal is his alma mater.
Hassan, who was elected President of Somalia on September 10, studied in the Bhopal's Barkatullah University for his M.Tech degree from 1986 to 1988, varsity registrar Sanjay
Tiwari said.
"He was our student and we are all proud that Hassan has become the President of Somalia," Tiwari said.
Born in 1955 in the farming town of Jalalaqsi, in the central Hiran region of Somalia, Mohamud moved to India in 1986 to pursue higher education and undertook the 18-month masters course at the varsity in Bhopal
