India said, on Wednesday, that it was hopeful that the civil-nuclear agreement with the US will be finalised at the earliest. "The next round of talks has not been scheduled as yet. It will be done shortly. We hope to finalise the agreement at the earliest," said Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao when asked about the status of the procedural agreement under the 123 civil-nuclear pact between India and the US.
She also said the pact will be finalised within the time line of one year up to August next year provided by the bilateral agreement.
