After disrupting Parliament for almost a week over the political developments in Jharkhand and Goa, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance on Wednesday decided to allow the normal functioning of both Houses.

"We will raise our apprehensions in both Houses about the possibility of Shibu Soren government nominating an Anglo-Indian before the March 15 trial of strength in the Jharkhand Assembly," BJP deputy leader in Rajya Sabha Sushma Swaraj told reporters after a meeting of NDA leaders.

Nitish Kumar, Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad and NDA convenor George Fernandes are expected to call on President A P J Abdul Kalam later in the afternoon and demand, among other things, security to the MLAs supporting the NDA in Jharkhand.
