Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is the leader of the National Democratic Alliance and his deputy Lal Kishenchand Advani's name does not figure in the NDA agenda, alliance convener and Defence Minister George Fernandes said on Saturday.
Fernandes told mediapersons that he 'did not understand' as to where the confusion was with regard to the NDA leadership issue.
"The prime minister might have suggested Advani's name to lead his party in the next Lok Sabha polls," he said.
Fernandes asked the media not to worry about the NDA leadership, saying, "It is sound and healthy."
