In a pre-poll setback to the Nationalist Congress Party, its leader and former Maharashtra minister Daulatrao Aher has quit the party and rejoined BJP.
Aher, who was a minister in the Sena-BJP regime in the 90s, was welcomed into the party fold by BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde and state president Nitin Gadkari at a function here late last night.
Shrigonda co-operative sugar factory chairman Shivajirao Nagawde also joined BJP at the function.
