The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to Narmada Bachao Andolan, the central government and the states of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat on a public interest litigation seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into alleged bungling of foreign funds by the Narmada Bachao Andolan.
The notices were issued by a Bench of Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal and Justice C K Thakker on a PIL filed by National Council for Civil Liberties, which accused NBA of indulging in several illegal activities.
