A Central Industrial Security Force trooper was killed on Sunday while another was injured in an attack by naxals on a security post in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district.
The attack took place early morning in the Bacheli complex of the National Mineral Development Corporation mines, which is guarded by the paramilitary.
The naxals have also looted two weapons, a senior official said.
Security forces have launched a combing operation in the area and reinforcements have been rushed.
The Bacheli-Kirandul complex has witnessed a number of naxal attacks and six CISF men were killed earlier this year in a similar ambush attack carried out by the ultras in this naxal hotbed of Dantewada in the Bastar region of the state.
