“The killing in Dadri was engineered by three persons who played the prime role in igniting communal rioting in Muzaffarnagar,” Mulayam told a specially-convened press conference in Lucknow on Thursday.
While refraining from naming any one of them, he said, “I will disclose their names once the investigation is complete,” he said.
While praising his Chief Minister son Akhilesh Yadav and his government, Mulayam said, “The Dadri incident appears like a deliberate move to tarnish the image of Akhilesh’s government, which is otherwise doing a great job.”
He alleged,” Because the opposition cannot find anything negative with the government, they were out to incite such trouble with a view to giving Akhilesh a bad name.”
Lamenting over the brutal killing, he observed, “It is a matter of shame that the man was done to death in Dadri while his son was engaged in the defence of the nation as an Indian Air Force personnel.”
He added, “I have a lot of experience in dealing with the communal element, so I am going to advise Akhlesh to ensure that stern action is taken against the culprits.”
