2 killed in J&K grenade attack

Two persons, including a woman, were killed and 10 others injured when militants attacked a paramilitary patrol party with a hand grenade in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.  

The device missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside at Ashpeer in Sopore area around 1025 IST, the sources said.

A vegetable vendor, Noor Mohammad Changa of Arampora village of Sopore, died on the spot and 11 other civilians were injured, they said. The woman, yet to be identified, succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital.

The condition of three injured was stated to be serious, the sources added.
