Investigators claimed that Gandhi, who is in charge of spreading the organisation's influence in urban areas, was frequenting the city for the past three years and had a couple of hideouts to coordinate activities.
Gandhi had complained about a cardiac problem on Monday after he was sent to one-day judicial custody by a duty magistrate.

Gandhi was in charge of the sub-committee on mass organisations, spreading its influence in urban areas and its publication wing. He was also allegedly in touch with international extremist Left-wing organisations.
