In view of recent threats to the life of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, the National Security Guards on Monday took charge of his security, official sources said in Ahmedabad.
Around 35 NSG personnel took charge of Modi's security, sources said adding that existing Central Industrial Security Force personnel would, however, continue to remain stationed at the CM's residence.
The NSG personnel would accompany Modi when he is on the move, they said.
