A couple of days after they became grandparents for the first time, Hillary and Bill called on NaMo.
The 42nd President of the United States and the current front-runner to become the 45th POTUS called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York on Monday morning.
Bill and Hillary Clinton had a 45-minute meeting with Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other Indian officials.
Both Modi and Swaraj warmly greeted the Clintons and congratulated them on becoming grandparents.
Chelsea, the Clintons's only child, gave birth to daughter Charlotte on Friday, September 26.
Though Hillary has met Swaraj earlier, this was the couple's first encounter with Modi.
Hillary lauded Modi for his initiative to clean the Ganga, telling him, "Your efforts at cleaning the Ganga will send a message to others in Asia."
"It is a sacred project and a smart approach," Bill, ever the policy wonk and politician, added.
