Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Saturday accused Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of hiring a group of about 50 IT professionals at Sanskar Kendra in Ahmedabad to disseminate his propaganda, follow trending issues and abuse the Congress online.
Singh said that these were people "devoid of any ideological commitment" to what they were saying on the internet. He said the Congress party's sub-group that handles communication technology and social media was looking into the "menace".
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the party's Chintan Shivir, Singh said the party will ask its cadre to spread Congress's ideology to counter Modi's anti-Congress propaganda.
