Pradhan was reportedly not satisfied with the distribution of party tickets for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly polls.
Pradhan maintained that he resigned from the post, not from the party and would speak only after the announcement of results of the assembly polls on October 29.
According to MNS sources, Pradhan was upset with the party, as he did not get the ticket for the assembly polls. Pradhan expected the party ticket from Thane constituency.
Earlier, women wing leader of the party Shweta Parulkar, who had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha polls in May 2009 from Dadar constituency, left the party and re-joined Shiv Sena.
Prakash Mahajan, brother of slain Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan, and party's Konkan region in charge Sanjay Ghadi also left the MNS alleging that Raj Thakre has no contact with the party cadres.
