Militants on Saturday triggered a blast targeting an army vehicle near Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir but the troops escaped unhurt. However, the vehicle was damaged in the Improvised Explosive Device blast.

The militants had planted the IED on road to LoC in Krishnagati belt of Poonch district, a senior army officer said on Saturday night.

There was minor damage to an army vehicle in the explosion but the troops escaped unhurt, he said adding that area has been cordoned off and search operation has been started.
