Bhargava, 50, the wife of senior Congress leader Luv Bhargava, breathed her last at 1815 hrs at the Apollo Hospital, where she was admitted on February 28, a hospital spokesman said.
She was shot at on February 20 outside Dalipur Towers -- barely 100 meters from the office of Lucknow Superintendent of Police, reportedly for protecting her daughter-in-law from the men who passed lewd comments at her.
The accused in this case were staying in an apartment which belonged to a newly -elected block pramukh of the Samajwadi Party K D Singh.
