In the wake of the terror strikes across India, New Delhi will host the first-ever seminar on anti-terrorism measures on Monday.
Taking part in the seminar will be the Pakistani interior secretary, and police chiefs and intelligence heads of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal who will present papers about how their countries have been tackling the scourge.
The two-day seminar is being organised by the Indian chapter of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
The seminar covers a wide sweep, and will debate the role played by the Inter Services Intelligence, Liberation Tigers of the Tamil Eelam and Students Islamic Movement of India, since its intention is to devote more attention to the subversive elements looming large in South Asia.
Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will inaugurate the seminar which will also be addressed by National Security Advisor M K Narayanan.
Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon, Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and the heads of the Intelligence Bureau and Research and Analysis Wing are also likely to make presentations at the seminar.
