Condemning the twin blasts at the Jama Masjid complex in the national capital on Friday, Leader of Opposition L K Advani has said that the blasts were aimed at hurting the morale of the country.
Demanding a thorough probe into the incident, he said through the explosions, elements behind such incidents were aiming at "disproving" the claims that they have been contained.

"I condemn the blasts. Whoever may be behind them and whatever be the motivation, they were certainly trying to hurt the morale of the country," Advani told PTI over phone from Mumbai.
Prima facie, the blasts were aimed at 'showing the presence of elements indulging in such activities and creating a scare,' he said.
Blasts trigger countrywide alert
Without directly blaming the government, he said, "We periodically issue statements that the situation is under control. The blasts are aimed at disproving such claims. The explosions should be thoroughly investigated and the people behind them should be apprehended and brought to book," the former deputy prime minister demanded.
Advani's ongoing 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra', announced in the wake of the Varanasi blasts last month, has been focusing on the government's alleged failure in containing terrorism.

In a separate statement, BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi demanded a review of the country's internal and external security policies and alleged that the blasts were 'proof' that separatists and anti-national elements were getting 'moral encouragement.'
