The Special Cell of Delhi Police will investigate the twin explosions at the historic Jama Masjid on Friday evening, Police Commissioner K K Paul said.
Paul, who visited the spot, said low-intensity improvised devices appeared to have been used as no craters had been found at the place of the explosion.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police has been assigned the investigation into the blasts, he said, adding that bomb disposal squads had scoured the Masjid and specialist teams had examined the spot.
Paul said 13 persons were injured in the blasts, and all of whom had been taken to the LNJP Hospital.
